Malaysia will propose e-cigarette regulatory policy in the first quarter of 2022


Luxurious Spacecraft Shape, Malaysia finance minister Tengku Zafrul Aziz, presented the 2022 budget in Parliament. The government plans to impose a consumption tax on electronic cigarettes and nicotine containing tobacco or gel products.

Malaysian Health Minister Carey jamarudin also recently told the world health organization that Malaysia will soon regulate electronic cigarettes (electronic nicotine delivery system). A regulatory bill on tobacco, e-cigarettes, e-cigarettes and hookah will be submitted to the lower house of the bicameral Parliament of the federal legislature of Malaysia next year. It is reported that the bill is expected to be introduced in the first quarter of next year.

In addition, according to the results of a national public opinion survey in Malaysia, 58% of the respondents agree that e-cigarettes have the effect of reducing harm, and 51% of the respondents said that among all smoking cessation methods, e-cigarettes are the most practical and safe. So far, Malaysia has more than 1 million e-cigarette users.
